    In October 2026, SGS Taiwan tested a sample of Qingxin oolong from our Taiwan shop for 502 pesticide residues plus diafenthiuron. Every result was within Taiwan’s and Japan’s limits for tea; the results apply to that sample.

    Sold in the US by Ying-Li Tea LLC, based in California. Our tea comes from Ying-Li in Taiwan, a tea specialist whose roots go back to 1994.

How to brew

Your recipe

  1. Warm a small teapot or gaiwan, empty it, then add 5 g of tea.
  2. Pour 100 mL of boiling water (212°F) over the leaves.
  3. Steep for 1 minute, then pour every drop into your cups. Keep the leaves for another infusion.

Questions

Does it have caffeine?

Yes, but usually less than coffee. Cold brew tends to have the least.

Can I add milk or sugar?

The black tea takes milk well. Try the oolongs plain first. They’re naturally sweet.

How many cups will I get?

150 g (5.29 oz) of oolong makes about 50 mugs, and every refill adds more. The 75 g black tea makes about 25.

Why are the leaves little balls?

Our oolongs are whole tea leaves, not tea powder or dust. They’re rolled tight and open up as they steep. Keep the leaves for another infusion.

How should I store it?

Keep it sealed, away from heat, light and strong smells. No need to refrigerate.

When will my order arrive?

US orders ship from California within 1–2 business days. Carrier transit time is additional. Email us for delivery estimates, and ask before you order if you need it by a date. Shipping is free at $99+ after discounts, $6 below.
